“It’s so cool!”, said my kids when we first showed the Jaguar’s new F-PACE to them.

And as we drove around exploring places around Singapore last weekend, we got “It’s the coolest car ever!” and “OMG! It does that?”

And I agree with the kids. Jaguar’s new F-PACE is a joy to drive, with many cool features that you will discover as you embark on your adventure.

Introducing the New Jaguar F-PACE, where comfort and adventure go hand-in-hand

Let’s start with the exterior because I’m quite shallow. I need to like how a car looks before I care about the engine performance.  

The new Jaguar F-PACE has an enhanced exterior design, with a brand new bonnet design. The super-slim all LED quad headlights, grille, rear lights and bumper have all been given a new design for a more assertive presence. It’s a fierce-looking car – and I like it!

Who says a family car has to look boring, right? Mama wants to look good during school drop-offs and whenever I’m behind the wheels!

Luxuriously-crafted interior

Moving past the exterior, you’ll come into a carefully crafted all-new interior. You’ll immediately notice the exquisite details like luxurious red leather seats, double stitching and high-end details throughout, including a Jaguar leaper embossed on the leather headrests.

The seats are comfortable and the kids are happy with the spacious backseat too!

You’re always connected

If that wasn’t wow enough, I must mention the look on the kids’ faces as we started the car and Jaguar’s latest Pivi Pro infotainment system came to life. It is accessed through an all-new 11.4-inch HD curved glass touch screen on the centre console.

It is very easy to navigate and even my kids are able to use it.  The infotainment system is equipped with Software-Over-The-Air capabilities, so that your infotainment system is always up to date. 

The first place we looked up on the Pivi Pro system, believe it or not, was KFC! We didn’t have an address, but all we had to do was to key in KFC under the navigation function and it showed us the options of all the KFCs near us and how to get there! 😃

We did take the car further the very next day. We went all the way out to Raffles Marina Lighthouse, near the border to Malaysia.

The “long” 20-minute drive felt too short because I really enjoyed the music being played through the Meridian Surround Sound System with Active Noise Cancellation*. Yes, just like the better headphones in the market, the updated F-PACE’s cabin is noticeably quieter inside. You’d feel like you’re in a nice, comfy cocoon with little noise from outside.

But let me take you back to the technologies in the car, because it’s definitely one of the highlights for me.

On the Pivi Pro, available with the optional configurable dynamics, you’ll get to select the Drive Mode – between Comfort and Dynamic. Nick, who was in the driver seat most of the time, prefers Dynamic (he’s a guy after all) and he said that even though the engine has more power in Dynamic, the drive is linear and smooth. As for me and the kids, it’s definitely a pleasure being in the passenger seat too.

After our afternoon excursion to the East, it rained heavily. While we had to cancel the rest of our plans, it was nice to watch the rain pouring down on us via the fixed panoramic tinted roof*. Again, it’s that safe feeling that regardless of what was happening outside the car, it’s very comfortable on the inside.

And speaking of safety, the brakes and steering of the F-PACE are highly responsive. The car itself is high, so you get better visibility and driving in the heavy rain wasn’t a problem at all.

Before I end this review, let me share about the ample boot space and smart storage spaces in the cabin. Because hey, as a family of 5, we have lots of “barang-barang” and having it tucked away nicely out of sight, but within reach is such a nice-to-have!
