Planning for our children’s birthday parties can be fun but also a chore. We want to please our kids (and their little friends), but most of the time, the adult guests are just counting down to the time to leave. Let’s face it, most kids’ parties are terribly dull for the adults.

Recently, my kids and I visited Café Amazon in Republic Plaza and I think I may have just found the perfect party venue to make both parents and children happy!

Chances are, you may have stumbled upon a Café Amazon outlet during one of your many trips to Thailand, the Land of Smiles, as this popular Thai coffee chain has over 2,000 outlets there! It is finally now in Singapore.

It’ll stand out for sure from the usual colourful kid’s party, and light up your young ones’ imaginations to explore the huge world which we live in and which may not be exposed to on our sunny island.

2. Café Amazon’s Environmentally-friendly Practices

Café Amazon’s green philosophy doesn’t stop at just its interiors. It’s important to remember that we ought to be mindful of our environment while we celebrate our little ones’ significant milestones in life.

I don’t know about you but my youngest child, Will, can’t drink from an open cup without using a straw. He always ends up spilling all over himself. And I always feel guilty about using single-use plastic straws when we have forgotten to bring our metal straws along with us. So the plant-made straws are an excellent solution to my daily life as a mother of three (because the last thing you want to worry about when taking the kids out is to bring along reusable straws with you, trust me).

I like that Café Amazon Singapore is doing its part for our environment by implementing environmentally-friendly practices and these practices can be an education for our children.

3. Singapore-exclusive Food and Beverage Menu Offerings

Move over fish-fingers, chicken nuggets, and fries! Let’s have proper party food which keeps both the adults and children happy.

At Café Amazon, you can look forward to a Singapore-exclusive menu of great fusion Thai and western recipes. I was greatly impressed by how the café chain did not simply bring over its items from overseas but rather developed and crafted an entirely new menu from scratch to cater to Singaporean’s unique yet discerning palates.

My kids and I loved its muffins and cookies. I will definitely recommend Blueberry Cheesecake Muffin, while my young ones simply adored the Lemon Raspberry Muffin. The Triple Belgian Chocolate Cookie is an absolute must-try, with its marshmallow goodness melting irresistibly in your mouth.

If all else fails, you know that you can impress parents with the coffee at Café Amazon. It has a distinctive earthy, robust flavour made from the exclusive in-house blend – Amazon Blend. The coffee beans come from Thailand and are wholly farmed and produced from eco-friendly practices, supported by the Thai Royal Project as spearheaded by the late Thai King to help to improve the lives of local farmers. Spo you know that you are doing your small part in sustaining honest livelihoods while sipping a cuppa Joe.

I was personally very impressed with the service when we were there. The cafe has definitely brought over that warm Thai hospitality the Land of Smiles is so known for into their stores in Singapore.

Your guard is being let down the moment you are greeted with warm hospitality and no request is too troublesome to attend to. Having hosted many children parties myself, I know that having attentive and personalised service from the staff would make my job as the host much more enjoyable. Not only that, I am sure I can relax and enjoy myself when I know my guests are also being left in good hands.
