And by the way, we celebrated her birthday at the preschool this morning. We’ve even pulled off a ‘My Little Pony’ theme party for her.
I know right? I’m a total hypocrite now. If you don’t know what I mean, I ranted about not going over the top when it comes to kids birthday.
It really isn’t my fault. I palmed off the entire party decor and food planning to Tassels & Twine, because you know, confinement. I expected a cake and a few cupcakes for Lauren’s classmates. Tassels & Twine totally exceeded my expectation and so it’s really their fault for coming up with such an AH-MAY-ZING dessert table.
The team at Tassels & Twine did everything for us – from menu planning to setting up and packing down at the end of the party. All I had to do was decide on the theme and let them know the time, location and number of people to cater for. Hold on, I didn’t even decide on the theme, Lauren asked for it! So yeah, my contribution was limited to a few emails.
No prizes for guessing the party theme.
We were almost late to our own party. You can read the whole story here on my Instagram post. Long story short, both girls were sick, got caught up at the clinic, a mad dash home and finally made it to school for the party!
I was tempted to call the whole thing off. But I’m so glad I didn’t because the party totally lifted Lauren’s spirit. She put on this all-regal, non-smiling look in all the photos but trust me, she was bursting with excitement inside. She was all like,”Wow… Thanks mummy” whispers to me during the party.
Yummy rainbow coloured vanilla cupcakes, chocolate eclairs and oatmeal raisin cookies were made healthier especially for the kids.
Now look at the cake!
Soooo pretty, isn’t it?
Oh, Tassels & Twine even made a backdrop with ‘Lauren is 4!’ bunting for group photo taking ops.
If you’re interested in throwing a party without lifting a finger, contact Tassels & Twine on their Facebook page. Meanwhile, feast your eyes on their Pinterest worthy photos on their Instagram account.
Lovely peeps at Flair Cakes Sisters sponsored the cake!
Happy 4th Birthday, Lauren!
I laughed when you said you were a hypocrite. But no. Really Michelle! Beautiful setup! In school some more! Loving the theme, the cake, the dessert table and especially the birthday girl who must be beaming with happiness of rainbow! Happy birthday u two.
Guilty as charged. I always managed to shoot myself in the foot when it comes to writing opinion based posts. I take no credit for all the awesomeness that is Lauren’s party. The party planner did a great job!
