Most of us look up ‘What NOT to eat during pregnancy‘ to avoid harmful ingredients to our growing babies. But rarely do we look into the ingredients of beauty products which we apply on our skin every day, day and night.

I was on the same boat when I was pregnant with Lauren. Those small amount of day cream I put on my skin can’t harm my baby. Or could it?

I was wrong. Turned out, our bodies absorb every single ingredient we apply on to our skin. Well, of course. How else does it moisturise, brighten or reduce fine lines if it isn’t going into our skin? And as every pregnant woman knows, everything that enters our bodies, our growing fetuses get some.

I was a little wiser by the time I had Georgia. I knew there were certain ingredients in skincare to avoid (more on this in another post) but I was still using products with ingredient list that takes a scientist to understand. I simply didn’t know there are alternatives.

Until now.

Earlier this year, I came across Lacues – an Australian skincare products made from 100% pure, natural, botanical ingredients and Certified Organic constituents. Its synthetic-free formulation are ethical and contains NO sulfrates, NO parabens, No synthetic fragrances, NO synthetic colours, NO silicones and No palm oils.

I’ve been using the products for about a month now. I love it so much that I decided to bring it into Singapore, so pregnant mothers here can have a choice now. We too can have access to organic skincare products made from ingredients we can pronounce and most importantly, safe for our babies.
