I’ve been a contact lens wearer for many years now. You can’t accuse me of not knowing my lenses. When I started wearing lenses some 20 years ago, it was the hard kind of lenses. You know, that kind you see in old movies that pops out if someone knocks into you. And yes, it breaks if someone steps on it. Those lenses lasted about a year and required to be rubbed down, disinfected and soaked at the end of the day.

From those, I’ve since moved on to disposable lenses. At first, it was monthly. But now, I love the beauty of having daily disposables which I can toss at the end of the day.

But for many years, one thing remained the same. The comfort of the contact lenses decrease throughout the day. It gets drier as the day wears on and many times, I had to cancel my appointments because my contact lenses were giving me problems. I’ve also showed up at events with only one good eye because one of the lens had popped out when I rubbed my eyes. I think because it was very dry.

My daily schedule is full every day – sending and picking kids from school, meeting clients, doing grocery runs.
