Our Trip to Pororo Park Singapore
Do you know what Pororo is?
Neither did I. I must have said aloud, “Pororo?” as I was thinking to myself. It is not that I have a habit of speaking to myself, but it happens at times.
The next thing I knew, Lauren said, “Pororo is a penguin.”, very matter of factly.
So armed with the only piece of information that my 3-years old dispersed, I went to the grand opening of Singapore’s largest indoor character themed park – Pororo Park Singapore at Marina Square, to find out for myself what Pororo is all about.
Pororo Park Singapore
So Pororo is not just a penguin. He is a very popular penguin. His YouTube channel has over 6.8 millions view!
So what’s my take on the park? Read on to find out.
Pororo Express
The train goes around the track twice for each ride. Lauren and Georgia went on the train ride for 5 times. So saying that it is fun for my girls is an understatement. There weren’t many people when we were there but seeing the train could only accommodate … children at a time, you may have to queue up for a bit.
Pororo House
This life size Pororo House is replica of Pororo’s House in the animated series. It is complete with a bed, a bench and even a kiddy sized bath room. So very cute!
Crong’s Backyard
Another play area suitable for the very young. Georgia spent most time here and at the Shark Ball Pool.
Shark Ball Pool
This is one of the biggest ball pools I’ve seen in Singapore so far. I like that it is wide and open and not hidden under a big playgym structure.
Poby’s Jungle Gym
This Jungle Gym is a little smaller than most indoor playground that I’ve been to. But I think it is just nice for Lauren at 3 years old. It has enough little corners and nooks for her to explore, without me losing sight of her. You know, those 2 seconds when we can’t find our little children can be heart-stopping. It is quite easy for me to spot her from a distance in this one.
Eddy and Petty’s Rooms
I didn’t take any photos of Eddy and Petty’s Rooms. But it is basically 2 rooms that you can book and hold character themed birthday parties for your little ones (or yourself if you so incline!). Besides that, educational classes such as Petty’s Art Class and Eddy’s Science Class will also be held regularly to provide a holistic edutainment environment.
Tong Tong’s Little Theatre
Here is where the Pororo Sing-along shows and character meet-and-greets take place! I thought it was a rather long 20 minutes of Pororo and friends dancing around, but Georgia was totally into it. Lauren even remembers some of the dance moves after we got home. So my guess is that they enjoyed it.
Loopy’s Cafe
The very spacious 60-seater cafe that offers Korean-inspired main dishes and desserts, with free Wi-Fi is quite nice to for a work-from-anywhere mum like myself to set up work-station. Just kidding. But I did make a few business calls when I was there and it feels calm and quiet.
Maybe it is because the cafe is located at one side of the park, further from the ‘noisy and active’ area instead of being in the middle of the action. It’s great if you just want to chill and stare at the beautiful Singapore skyline, while the kids tire themselves out. But not too great if you want to sit and look at your kids play, because you certainly can’t monitor them from here.
Amenities
As a family-friendly indoor playground, Pororo Park has adequate amenities like restrooms for both adults and children and nursing room (available soon). There are shelf spaces available for shoes and a big designated area for parking strollers as well.
Rody’s Toy Store
The exits of many attractions are via the souvenir shop. It is no difference here at Pororo Park Singapore. You can’t escape it. So be prepared to pick up a toy or two when you leave the park. Rody’s Toy Store has a wide range of Pororo merchandise like soft toys, activity kits, clothing and accessories. A Pororo’s fan heaven.

Where is Pororo Park Singapore?
Pororo Park Singapore is located at Marina Square’s new retail wing at #02-29. Entrance to the new retail wing can be found opposite Marks & Spencer (#02-109) OR via the walkway between Tag Heuer (#02-152) and Goldheart Jewelry (#02-279). If driving, find your way to the carpark at RED ZONE. Park near the lobby with escalator. The indoor playground is just next to the escalator. Very convenient!
What do I think of the park?
Opening Hours : Sun – Thu: 10.30am to 8.00pm | Fri & Sat: 10.30am to 9.00pm
I've been seeing pics of Pororo Park! This looks like fun and maybe it's time to expose my toddler to some Pororo!
I love how the Park is bright and airy, and the open-concept ball pool is definitely a draw for Dylan and Alexis! This park really seems like a nice place to bring the kids to, but rates wise it is quite expensive! It will be almost $90 for my family, more than twice the usual amount we would pay for indoor playgrounds. *gasp*
Sometimes I wish my kids are a little younger to enjoy the new playground. It seems like a very fun place for the little ones.
I find it too pricey though. we spent only 30 minutes to an hour there and it seemed enough for the kiddos. With that rate, I think I won't be returning. Haha and I didn't know what animal pororo is too. My 3 year old yelped, "he is a penguin!"
It's always hard to tear kids away from play! To us, it may seem kinda small.. but I guess to kids, size doesn't matter!! ;p
Ai @ Sakura Haruka
My boy is 2.5 years old and I have been hesitant about going there because of the price. $30+ for him, excluding the adults! I think he would have loved the train though 🙂
You are right, it is rather pricey. But I guess it is different from other indoor playground because it has the shows and train? 🙂
Haha.. your son and Lauren can hang out. How come your kids were happy to leave in less than an hour? I had to do the countdown to leaving time repeatedly before mine agreed to leave.
My daughter Dana is 7 but she enjoys Pororo Park too! 😀 She's been bugging me to bring her back. Alexander the 18mth old enjoys the ball pit most 😀
