My baby turns 3 years old today. If she can read this, she would say, “No, it’s Elsa’s birthday”, as she always corrects us when we use her name for the past month. In case you are wondering, I’m Anna, her daddy’s Christof and Georgia… well, Georgia is Olaf.
My 3-year-old toddler is into singing and dancing and wearing pajamas all day long. This will soon pass, I’m sure. Because two weeks ago, she wouldn’t wear anything else except dresses.
She now wants to do everything by herself, from picking out her own outfits to fetching her plate when she wants snacks. She remembers her daddy’s mobile password and is able to unlock it all by herself. She has the same taste buds as Nick’s. Anything he likes, she likes. Anything he doesn’t fancy, she doesn’t either – even ice cream. Which kid doesn’t like ice-cream? This kid of mine.
Every now and then, I pull out her baby photos and stare at them. The past 3 years had gone by so quickly. Those chubby cheeks are still there but they are disappearing day by day. My baby is growing up.
Thank you baby for your patience with me when I was rookie mum. Because of you, I’ve learnt a lot and grown to love my role as your mummy.
You are my drive and you inspire me to be better – to push myself in my career, my beliefs and values. You are a wonderful daughter and a loving sister to Georgia.
I count my blessings everyday that you are mine. I love you, Lauren.
Happy birthday.
Happy birthday to your 3 year old, she is beautiful and clearly a very loving big sister, no wonder you are proud.
