Warning: This post contains ugly photos. Photos I would never have taken if not for the sake of this review.
Of course, I’m talking about my feet. I don’t pay any attention to them. Not anymore anyway. I used to love pedicure. You know, back in the days when I actually had time to spend in a salon getting my feet all pretty.
Now that I have kids, pedicure is at the very bottom of my to-do list. Way way bottom, it’s listed under ‘get enough sleep’ – which I really really need as well.
Anyway, it seems that my feet have had enough of neglect and abuse over the years, it is now screaming for my attention. The sole of my feet is so dry and hard, it is cracking. It hurts. It doesn’t help that I’ve also developed a bad habit of peeling the dead skin off whenever I get to sit down and watch the television.
I’ve warned you. It’s bad. |
Okay, now that the post has gotten to a TMI (too much information) point, there is no turning back. You might as well read on to see if this Scholl Velvet Smooth Express Pedi Electronic Foot File really works.
What is it?
Scholl Velvet Smooth Express Pedi Electronic Foot File is an electronic foot file that buffs away hard skin on the feet instantly. Battery operated, this gadget requires virtually no physical effort at all to achieve beautiful salon finished feet, without having to step out to the pedicure salon.
It comes with a washable, replaceable roller head.
Does Scholl Velvet Smooth Express Pedi Electronic Foot File work?
As soon as the Scholl Velvet Smooth Express Pedi electronic foot file arrived at my doorstep, I set it up to use. My curious daughters were circling around me, anxious to see what new toy mummy has gotten. I thought it’ll be fun for them to see how it works too.
Bad bad move. The electronic foot file worked immediately. As soon as I switched it on, I saw speckles of dry and hard skin flying off my feet. I had to stop before my kids inhaled too much of my feet dust.
Gross but I love it.
Compared to pumice stone and manual filer that takes forever to make a dent in a thick, hard heel, this electronic foot filer from Scholl is a bliss. It takes literally seconds to achieve smoother feet.
Not bad, eh? Those white powder-like substance are the dry skin I got off my feet after spending about 30 seconds on each foot.
Here is a short intro video to show how the Scholl Velvet Smooth Express Pedi electronic foot file works:
See the difference, after just 3 days of using the electronic foot file. It is not perfect yet. But at the very least, my feet aren’t shell-like hard and cracking. I can’t be more pleased.
Scholl Velvet Smooth Express Pedi Electronic Foot File is retailing at $49.90 and available at all leading pharmacies.

Surely it’s “foot filing” not footfilling?
