Yoomi Feeding System Review (Discount + Giveaway!)

When I was first approached by AT Marketing Consultancy to review a ‘baby bottle + warmer set’, I thought to myself, “What is there to write about baby bottles?” However, my opinion quickly changed when I received the product info on yoomi Feeding System. I was curious. Are all the hypes and awards this product garnered, justified?

About yoomi

The first self-warming baby bottle, yoomi gently warms baby’s feed to the natural temperature of breast milk (32-34 deg C) in just 60 seconds… making parents lives easier at home and on the go. It has won so many industry awards; it takes 3 pages to list them all!

First impression?

The set of Yoomi Feeding System that I received for the purpose of this review comes with a 240ml easi-latch™ BPA-free bottle, a slow flow teat, a warmer and a pod. What stood out to me was the shape and feel of the super soft silicone teat, very breast-like!

The most intriguing thing about yoomi is of course – the no battery/electricity needed, awards winning, evolutionary warmer that makes feeding on-the-go so convenient. It has a simple button to activate and grids on its body for milk to flow through. This allows milk to warm up to the perfect temperate when it hits the teat for baby to suck on.

So how does it work?

Overall verdict?

Every mother knows when a baby is hungry, he/she lets out this cry that is just heartbreaking. So every minute it takes to warm up EBM (expressed breast milk) feels like eternity. I’m impressed that with yoomi, it only takes 60 seconds. It is also pretty cool that it NEVER overheats the milk, so no nutritional lost there.

I also love that it is a 2-in-1 (warmer + bottle) product which I can easily take with me anywhere. I don’t need to ask, sometimes beg, for hot water to warm up EBM when it comes to feeding baby Georgia outside home.

Having said that, the heating and cooling time takes quite long. Once, Georgia was a crying so hard that my helper activated the warmer before the recommended cooling time. The warmer just wouldn’t work after that. Luckily it wasn’t permanently damaged. The Singapore yoomi team was very patient and helpful. They guided me through the ‘reset’ process and the warmer is now working perfectly again. Phew!

Overall Value?

At a retail price of $59.90 for a set, it is on par with other bottles plus a regular warmer in the market. Considering the convenience and its unique design, I would say it is a good buy. A must-have for mummies-on-the-go.
